I am in need of a program I am too lazy to program myself, its really a simple program I need for home use.
I have alot of home videos and legal DVD's on a server computer im putting out in my living room hooked up to my big screen, and I need a selector program for friends/family to use. Its so they dont have to go through a list of files on my harddrive, basicly a frontend.
I want the program to be easy to add more files as needed, and for there to be a small picture I can add, without having to re-program and re-compile it. What I have in my head is basicly like windows explorer thumbnails, tiled acrost, but changeable pictures, and when you double click one it opens it with the program I choose (Windows media player classic).
If anybody feels up to the challenge, great, if not, il figure something else out. Let me know, peace.

ITSA REUNION
Uummm... Hi. You must be an old member.
I think I'll give making this a shot. Shouldn't be too difficult.
EDIT: Should the icons be 32x32, 48x48, even bigger, or customizable in size?
EDIT 2: actually, 64x64 looks just fine. It'll show a bigger pic when you click the item for details, or something.
Well bigger the better, or mabye small with a larger preview when you click on it? Im running the server on S-Video and if you have ever seen a computer on a TV, its slightly blury, so the larger things are the better.
I apreciate the effort man.

Okay, if you say "the bigger the better", what should the application's size be? I'm only using 800x600 right now.
EDIT: I'm also fullscreening the app now that you've said that.
Well dont full screen it, you can maximize the size but just dont actuley go into full screen mode, because i will need to be able to access other things. 800x600 is fine.
When I say bigger the better, I just mean as far as the picture goes. Im not sure how you have made the app so far, but I was just thinking the icons can be normal size, but when you select them you get to see a big picture. It really doesnt matter, im not complaining, im sure youve got it under control.
Im thinking of buying a USB remote, so people can be chillin on the couch, browsin through movies/music/games, whatever, ive already got a huge emulation collection with 2 controllers, so im hoping itl be pretty cool.
