Here are 2 cardgames that Ive been working on for some time.
They are inspired by Magic, Pokémon and some other cardgames I once played.
NoEvil:
You have 5 creatures, you can't get any more or less than that, but you can temporily disable the creatures of your opponent, thats when you kill his/her deck.
Vollo World:
Somewhat newer, and not really planed out yet, but hopefully a little bit more advanced than NoEvil.
I've no idea about all these new-fangled card games. When I was younger, about 16 or something, I made a horror movie Top Trumps set, with Freddy Krueger, Jason Vorhees, Michael Myers etc, and also started on a serial killer one.
Are you going to print those cards, or are they for a game on a computer? I really like the Vollo World one, does it have anything to do with dice? Either way, VERY cool, I would love to see more, or get an idea of the jist of the games.
I've tried many times to create a cardgame with MMF 2, but first lack of knowledge ruined it, and nowadays I'm just too lazy to create more than 12 different cards
But, FaithToken, I think I could maybe try again...
Well sure, for the NoEvil-cardgame I have made almost 30 cards.
Here are 3 more, the battlemage is one of the most powerful units in the game.
The yellow orbs are the number of turns they stay fainted if the get knocked out, so more powerful units has that disadvantage.
I am considering to redo the art on the cards, since they are getting quite old.
When it comes to Vollo World, the card above is not going to look even close to that when it is finished. I am still working on the game mechanics. And haven't had the chance of testing it at all yet.
Sooo, this topic is about cardgames, so I checked some of my really old pics and found some
cards that I made for a game that never was completed. It was like a boardgame and cardgame hybrid, and now when Itried to remember the rules I thought the idea was pretty cool, I just lacked the AI of a computer player and some other skills that I maybe have now.
As you see, the cards were created just for a computer game and they were really small. That's sad, because I also found the normal sized versions of the card pics and they were cool.
Anyway, here's all the cards I dug up (they're not as nice as with faithtoken, but whatever):
Cool, you really had something going there, it feels a little bit dark, like magic is. I like to keep things light and kind ^^
I have been working on these designs and the game mechanics today, and short from some balancing I'd say these are almost done, one is a hometown, thats what you are defending and where you keep your recourses:
If you compare it to the design way above (first post) you might see some differences. Note that the art for the card are only temporary.
