Hey everyone. It's been a long time since I've done anything around here (in fact, I'd be willing to bet that few of you even remember me at all). Haven't really had any time for TGF game making with school & work, but I plan to eventually (I still have to learn all the basics; I've never made a complete game before).
Anyway, I have interesting news for any Ghostbusters fans out there:
Hank Braxtan's leatest (and easily greatest) movie, a fan film based on Ghostbusters, is now complete & available for viewing online (went up on Halloween, interestingly enough). There's a streaming version, as well as a downloadable high-res DIVX version (torrent file) & versions made for Ipods & Zunes. No QT or WMV versions, but I suppose if someone wanted to they could convert one; Hank has said that he is willing to link to any alternate versions that anyone has.
So, head on over to and give it a watch.
This movie follows the storyline of an all-new set of Ghostbusters operating out of Denver, Colorado. The basic story revolves around the discovery of the Amulet of Anubis, a talisman fabled to carry the powers of Anubis. The story also depicts a scholar's decent into evil.
I don't want to say too much because I don't want to spoil anything, so just go over and watch. Oh, and if you like the movie, please help by spreading the word (and seeding the torrent of the DIVX version).
I will say this, though: Great, fun movie (would say more, but I know that over-hyping often has a negative affect on people's experiences).
Oh, and some trivia for those who don't know: Return of the Ghostbusters is the "sequel" to Freddy vs Ghostbusters, a shorter & less serious Ghostbusters fan film that pitted the trio of Denver Ghostbusters against Freddy Kruger (from Nightmare on Elm Street). FVGB was an ok fan film, but ROTGB blows it out of the water in every way. ROTGB does not feature Freddy in any way; it is simply a serious GB fan film that features the Ghostbusters that were introduced in FVGB (well, except for one of them; the actor moved away and they lost contact with him so they had to replace him).
Since I can't edit the original post anymore, I'll just post them again the right way (so that people don't have to copy & paste the links and have to delete the uncessessary [/url] tag at the end):
