In fact no, I think I will. Where every top game is put there with a large description and comments and views etc as to why the game deserves to be listed.
I've come up with THE FINAL DESIGN (apart from adding knytt, satan sam and tormishire's MC ) Obviously the white boxes will stretch down to fill content.
KlikBox will basically be a sort of Hall Of Fame, specifically and exclusively for games made with products from Clickteam.
This site will list klik games from the past, that have made their mark in the indie gaming world, as well as new games 'hot off the press'. This will not only help people (perhaps new to klik), easily find other games made with MMF and see just what the software is capable of and display them online for the world to remember.. it will alsoencourage new klikers to get their games on the site, and thus produce some freakin awesome games
The site will be quite strict in what is accepted here - only the 'best of the bunch' will be considered - in this case, it will be quite an achievement to get your game featured.
I would like to know the features that people would like to see there. Users will be able to submit games to the site, and (after being accepted by the moderators), will be availble to view to the public.
The public (other users) will then be able to vote from a rating from 1-10 on how good they think the game was. There wont be anything to check whether the users have actually played the game (because the games featured will often be the top games of each category).
So for example, people that haven't played MSD (platformers category) may vote on it, as there's no way to decide whether they have or not - although the voting system will be strict. Users' IP's will be logged. No duplicate IP's will be allowed, and there may not be two users with the same IP. Two users on the same network at home = same IP? Then tough, one vote per IP, per submission.
Other ideas to help restrict cheating here are also welcome.
No 'applications' etc will be allowed to be contained on the site.
What other things can we have? I don't particularly want to restrict it just to a 'top-games' site... so... devlogs, articles etc? PLEASE LET ME KNOW
Also - Here's another notion for you all :
As TDC still hasn't (and doesn't look like it will) added the GOTM motif, I could add this feature to www.klikbox.net from the GOTW winners here at TDC.

I want to make it clean, fun and appealing, and I think it does the job just fine to be honest... I'm always skeptical about my work (hence SilverNova, version 14). I don't want to make another boring plain site like GameBuilder - it doesn't look game-orientated and is boring to look it, sorry.
I need to finalise what tab I will have at the top now then..
Home, 'Groups' (ie Hayo's Idea), Previews, Top 10 ... what else? Or something else? :\ Please help me make this site come alive guys! lol
The 1-10 rating bit sounds good. Do it like the new TDC rating system so it comes with a comment.
I have some suggestions for improvement there though. Make it so that under the stars or whatever it says like awful under the 1 and ok under the 4 or 5 and then great under the 8 and like perfect under the 10.
Alot of people here tend to give like a 4 or a 5 to every game that is slight above average. This tend to make it so that all games above average have the same rating which is bad. If people are more clear on what each rating signifies it will be a more coherent and accurate rating.
Thanks for that response CsaR the rating system is now sorted, we just need to clarify a few more features people would like to see included in the site and we can start making it
I rather like the design, it's got all that "web2.0" style gradients and shiny-ness. I think maybe the menu text should be seperated from the background a bit. It's quite hard to read the text at first glance.
Not keen on the box graphic too. But everything else gets a from me.
The idea is that the public (who have registered an account - in order to log ip's etc.) will be able to vote on a game from 1-10, perhaps recommend them to friends etc.
It'll work like this:
**Users will submit a game that they think belongs on in the top 10 of that category. (say someone suggests JonnyRPG under the RPG bit..)
**Moderators will then accept this game to the site, and the rating for it will commence!
**The games will be rated against eachother, and the ones with the highest amount of points (+ reviews, maybe), will be the top.
I might also have a 'MY BEST GAME' choice, where each user has one "token" that they can assign to just one game. The game with the most of those will also have a higher rating.
There will be top10's per category (I'll think about how to work-around hybrid games..) and there will be an overall 'top 10 click games ever' list too.
The site will be EXTREMEMLY user-orientated, where people can assign themselves as part of, and manage click groups. So I will have the SilverNova group, for example, and I can assign the members of 'Nova to it, and so on.
More features are sort of floating around in my head at the moment which I will add as I go along But it will be not too dissimilar from how some of the stuff from facebook.com works, by means of some of its useability and features.
edit: So really, each game will be judged on popularity AND how good it was... 80% of the time, a popular game IS really a good game.. so that shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Are you gonna have a download section or are you just gonna have the reviews link to the games in some way?
They hybrid question could be solved in the way I explaind to you on msn by having all categories and special featureas available in crossboxes and letting people cross the things that exists in their game. This could be things like all the genres, online capabilities, more than one player, and maybe perspective. That way you could make very specific top 10 lists, which is what I would want to see, very easy like: top 10 action platformers, top 10 online puzzlers or top 10 topdown shooters etc just by sorting them based on those keywords crossed.
The only thing you'll really have to worry about is if you are going to allow for instance a platformer puzzlers game into the top 10 platformer list and so on.

I don't think we'll have a downloads section ... we'll have people use TDC still, for that We might have a reviews section though, which will have more detail and enhance the popularity of each game (slightly) per review on it.
