The font is fine, and the gradients won't be that noticeable once you fill the boxes with text and stuff (though some sort of texture would be preferred). I'm not that keen on the logo background graphic though. There should be more contrast between background and foreground there, it looks a bit rough as it is now. Otherwise, not bad at all.
But seriously guys, you're just talking design and coding right now. There's more to it than just layout and design, you've gotta have content too. And an original name. I don't like any of the ones suggested so far (except for Jimmi's "ieatindies.com" one, lol). There are lots of indie gaming sites and blogs out there already. We've already got our TIGSource and Clickzine. If you want to get noticed then you must try and think outside the box, and do something different.
I'm not saying that you're not capable of doing something different, and I'm not saying that I've got any better ideas myself. But please, just sit down for a minute and plan out what you're gonna have on the site. Who's gonna be doing the reviewing and previewing and newshunting and whatever you want to do? Are you going to use a blog-type format? Would you need forums? Competitions? Rankings/lists? Articles, essays, tutorials, guides? Will games be submitted to the site by the public, or will it be the admins' job to hunt out new, interesting games? Will people be able to comment/rate games? Are you going to focus on Klik games only, or will you accept any kind of indie games?
I would recommend changing the color theme though, now that I think about it. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the guys over at TIGS called it a ripoff (similar blue color theme, joystick -> arcade machine). I know you weren't trying to copy TIGS or anything, it's a common color combination on the net anyway, but I'd change it just to be sure.
Sorry if my posts sound a bit whiney, I'm just trying to help. I'm actually glad that you're doing this, the Klik community needs a proper entrance to the "mainstream" indie community somewhere. Okay, that's all I've got to say for now
I'm not to keen on that. It looks like "just another site" with the scruffy blue/black graphics. The typography matches the design but overall it's difficult to read. Design looks much too cluttered after looking at something like Tigsource.
What's an arcade cabinet doing there too? A little out of place on a site for independent games?
Overall there's too much luminosity against such a dark colour palette. Not so good on the eyes.

Just my 2 cents =P
I already have everything planned when it comes to features and stuff.
It's going to be a general indie gaming site (freeware and shareware and not only klik related) with reviews, news and articles (like previews, interviews etc...), GameTunnel is the only (known) site with reviews and articles, tigs is a blog and clickzine is only klik related. I don't need a forum, at least for now, the user/site interaction will be done by allowing the users to comment and rate on the reviews and articles. The games can be submitted to the site but we will only review them if they are worth reviewing (if they come from known and reliable developers and/or looks professional enough) but we will obviously look for new games.
We have already 3 reviewers (probably 4), and I'm thinking about a site like gamespot game tunnel not a blog.
I think I answered everything lol
btw tim: It's looking awesome, I specially like the logo
