TDC is a great site don't get me wrong. But a few more little things could be added in for more enjoyment.
What do you think the site needs to have?
Firstly this is what I think would be great:
*Upload your games to TDC and be able to get an embedded code for vitalize already written up for you automatically.
*In your profile have a section where you have your favourite games listed from the whole of TDC.
Hardware acceleration and particle-spray effects. And also dynamic lighting with pixel shading. We needs thoses you know? Can't make nuthin good without em'. (INYOFACE)
EE, still going strong with MMF 1.2
Seriously though, TDC needs to organize the download section. It's a real mess! Remove dead links and remake the category system, cause it's almost impossible to browse that section in my opinion. It should have a small screenshot next to every title, maybe a small description in one or two sentences. I know that would be quite an enormous task, but if you remove all the crap that doesn't work first it's do-able.
Yep less hate more love and I think having a screenshot and small description next to each download title would be great. But not so much a Cyber Cocktail Lounge .
Admins better be listening! This isn't just a bit of a chat!

Thing is with having that on the downloads section is that it'd use up a ton of bandwidth almost instantly, and people on slower connections wouldn have to sit and wait for screenshots to load before getting anywhere. Some humourous people still save images as bitmaps you know... -_-
I do think the downloads needs a bit of a clean, although we can't disregard the older games too - it'd also be a mammoth task to find all of the downloads that have broken links :\
Something could be done at the downloads area, but just a few little pointless things I think.
As for submitting games to TDC, they'd need a lot more bandwidth and webspace so that'd cost much more money.

Hmm, in the forums when you edit your post, how about just a text message saying "updated 14/12/2007" or something. We don't need this huge .gif of an "E" accompanied by a bold font of "Edited by the author". It's like saying "Haha you messed up your first attempt at this reply, let this be a reminder to you forever."
Discarded pizza boxes are an indispensable source of cheese.
I'm not to good on web design stuff, but can't you just put a direct link to the first screenshot uploaded with the game? Would that eat bandwidth too?

I am in agreeance with this. Does make you feel kinda silly when it shows that.
And yes. Isn't what Eternal Entertainment speaks the truth?
Sort the downloads section out and get rid of the stupid and rediculous "THE DAILY CLICK" banner. Also, let Tim design all the skins because his are the win!
I think many people would come here more often if people focused on talking their and other's games and projects instead of off topics issues. But maybe a mature TDC is too much to ask for?
Favorite games list = Super
The "Silvernova vs Adam" skin is nice and I think it is wonderful to get rid of mitch, he kind of sets the mood for the community
Games of the year section?
A section where "important" games can added throughout the year. Then these games are the ones you can vote for in GOTY (which was a brilliant idea tim ). An admin or someone could put up a screenshot/icon on each game and write a little about what is good about the game. That would be like a kind of "best of klik" section. I know you're talking about something like this in other threads.
I think you have made lots of good updates to this site lately, like the new project thing and the skins. Just keep up the good work. And exchange mitch to something else for the default skin, most people are sick of him.

WTF. okay then ._.
Admittedly, I don't like Mitch, but I doubt he has anything to do with the negativity of this site.
Also I think people need to stop abusing the projects section. I think if a project is going to be posted it needs either at least two decent screen shots or a lot of information to back it up, I'm sick of clicking on projects to find two sentences and "lolol more soon lol"

I completely agree. Never been too fond of that big 'E' as demonstrated below.
What if on downloads, rather then just a x/5 stars category, we had all of the categories (gameplay, music, etc) available as options when posting a comment (only the x/5 overall would count towards the games rating). That way, we could post useful feedback towards the elements of the games we felt were strong/weak, with a simple graphic rather then having to write an entire minimum-length'd review. So even though it wouldn't count towards any tally, they could just give commentators an option for constructive criticism.
For example, below "[x] Rate Download *****"
we could have:
"[x] Presentation *****"
"[x] Gameplay *****"
"[x] Graphics *****"
"[x] Sound and Music *****"
"[x] Lastability *****"
Just make sure to keep all of these categories optional; we could pick and choose which ones we wanted to rate on. If everyone was forced to rate all 5 categories on every comment just to put an X/5 overall score down, most people would opt not to rate at all. This way we could choose to rate individually any of those categories.
Why not have a selection of 'classic' games hosted on TDC's server and have them randomly show up on the front page?
Or instead of having them permanently hosted, why not upload a new game each week and have a little link on the side bar on the front page. But make sure they are 1 or 2 years old.
or even demos of games that were never completed but are still worthy of classic status?
