Hello everyone!
My name is Daymian. I'm the guy that created a bunch of graphics and sprite packs for Clickteam (some of which are included in the recent Clickteam Christmas packs). I have been reading that some users have some complaints about them. The main complaint being that the packs are too limited to make a complete game. So I would like to ask the users what they want out of future graphics packs. Which packs did you like best? Which didn't you care for? Would you like to see the current packs expanded upon (more enemies, objects and backgrounds to fit the same style)? What kinds of packs would you like to see in the future? I would like to please as many users as I can with my graphics packs. Please post your ideas comments here. Thanks!
I think nobody really likes to use graphics packs. It's a bit like ripping. Most ppl stopped using libraries since TGF came out.
But if I were to use graphics packs, I'd say I want something neutral, something that players won't notice/care that it's from a graphics pack, like a fully animated stick figure with crouching, standing, dying, etc. Or some sparks, explosions, clouds, that sort of thing.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
I agree with Muz. There's nothing wrong with your pictures per se, it's just that most people would rather a game had its own original graphics over any library ones, regardless of their good quality.
I think it's a bit like using the default movements for some people.
Some examples that may be needed? Maybe fire effects or explosions?

Nobody in the community likes to use them but there's probably a mini army out there who do. Before I found TDC I used to use libraries (check Sheep) and I'm guessing a lot more did too
Back in the TGF days when I'd sometimes have a game making party with a friend and we'd be up all night making something, we occasionally used library graphics for speed since nobody else was going to play our shit. At the time I remember wishing there were a lot more generic incidental graphics; explosions in particular, because the ones that were there had such a specific style that they were useless. Buses and kung fu masters and stuff are nice but not something any given person is likely to use, whereas nearly every game uses things like lasers and blasts.
That was a while ago though. I have no idea what the current library is like.
