EDIT: Very very good! 2566 objects all rotating to floating point angles using a calculation to look at the mouse on high quality, no fps drop OR 13000 bouncing default actives and no slowdown.
This BETA competely SUCKS! It should be an alpha, nowhere NEAR release. Any advance to a frame causes a crash for me.. I'm on 64 bit Vista... and have also tested on XP SP2(3) with the same effect. Really, they haven't actually got anywhere with this yet, in my opinion - they have a long way to go.
It's like "yeah check out this new song! it's not quite done yet though so bare with us" .. and the song just being a note on a stave. Music was the only way I could explain it as it's on my mind atm
Anyways, this is really quite silly... I think they should just disappoint us further and have us wait longer, rather than bringing out something which still clearly needs a LOT of 'polishing up'. They obviously feel they have to rush releases and stuff, in order to show that they are doing stuff.. And I bet this paragraph gets quoted below
True, though that still has it's drawbacks though James I think I was expecting them to have things pretty much sorted by now... but then it's CT I guess, I should learn not to expect much -_-
One of our games is also quite dependant on HWA so I'm quite anxious to have it and have it funtioning.

Well it crashed when I used the Popup message object and the fast function object.
It also crashes sometimes when you open games saved with the previous build.
Other than that I've found it pretty stable. Though it has trouble with rendering strings (they're always off by a few pixels) & can't use some features like 'Grab desktop at start' or transitions.
I use the cracked MMF2 version that cannot update after build 241
and I cannot check HWA and any other changes after 241....
I have to wait two more weeks in order to buy the MMF2 DEV
because my new VISA has not been activated yet...

Well its currently at build 1f. Yves says he'll be updating it at least once or twice a week and confirmed there will be betas 2 & 3, so.....
If there will always build a - z and beta 3 is the last beta:
19 more builds to build 1z/build 2a.
26 more builds until build 3.
26 more builds until final release.
Divided by 2 builds a week (at most)
= 35.5 weeks until HWA is complete
So it would be somewhere around the 9th September 08....

What I don't get is why it crashes so much for so many people while it uses a hardware acceleration library that should handle almost any video card now - DirectX.
