Hey guys, I've been trying to search for answers as to why Multimedia Fusion 2 would start randomly switching graphics around on certain frames for me. It seemed to start happening after I installed the MMF2 HWA first beta, but I didnt even touch this application with the HWA version.
What happens is random graphics such as backdrops, or actives, will be replaced with different sprites chosen at random. If you can imagine what a corrupt NES game looks like when you put it in without blowing on it, thats pretty much what is happening.
This happens only when I run the entire application (or run the built application) for a set of about 9 frames in a contious level. When I run these corrupted frames on their own, no graphic glitches occur. I have this same level on a previous build of the application, and it doesnt have any of this corruption... so the only thing that has actually changed was the installation of the HWA beta. No events or graphics were changed in the frames themselves.
If anyone has any thoughts or ideas on how to solve this, please let me know. I've tried copying and pasting the frames from the old working version into the current version of the application, but no luck there.
Thanks

Yeah well, the problem is that all the affected frames are .. well, still affected even after uninstalling HWA. Somehow HWA corrupted something, even though I didnt open the application with the HWA version. I just finished reinstalling MMF2 from nothing and its still happening, so something in the .mfa is messed up.
Yves has the .mfa files in question, hopefully I'll hear back from him soon... :I

Yet another case that reminds us we should backup our games.
Tgf used to do that to me sometimes but i never had the problem with MMF2. Ive not installed the HWA beta and i'm not likely to after what ive heard so far.

Well, I have something like 157 versions of my game but I'm trying to not lose a week or two's worth of work because of this. I've actually narrowed it down a little bit... if I jump right to the corrupted frames in question from the beginning of the application, it seems that the graphics glitch doesnt happen, but if I play the game out like normal (which involves going to the map, selecting the level, and entering it) then the glitches happen on the 3rd frame into the level. Its just these frames that are messed up... bah
