Don't advertise your game on the forums, it'll only make yourself look bad. We've already got a separate section for downloads, we don't need a duplicate forum post telling us about your game. Also, it seems like you already got yourself a fair share of downloads, ratings and comments, so you're probably going to piss off a lot of people whose games weren't noticed at all.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
You need to announce stuff here, most people will even notice. I've added an important notice to my game and some may have interest in reading it.
I really don't care if it makes me look back, I just want to make sure people have the opportunity to read the message I've added to the game description.
Well, if it's an update then okay, announce away. But seriously, if everyone made topics advertising their games, then the forums would be clogged up in no time at all. And that's why there's a separate section for downloads, to keep the games in one place, where everyone gets an equal chance of being noticed.
