@ adam: do you not like jrp?
@ jrp: why would you want to buy an engine, it would be better to make your own from scratch. this is a very good one but, you wont get any better at programming if you dont try new things
@ diefox: this game is going to be amasing.
Your just jealous that you're not as awesome as me.
(And my megaman avatar )
But this engine is like something capcom would make, its just like the real thing! but maybe i,ll be good enough one day to make my own fighting engine.
What I think is missing is all the throwing and grabbing of other players, and it needs more "in the air" attacks. Just what I think. Anyways it looks awesome!
You can log off any time you like, but you can't ever leave.
Fantastic. I played the original Duel toys and thought it was excellen. this looks much better. Can't wait. but what i want to know is how the AI works as it doesn't just blindly attack it defends and avoids attacks.
more air attacks? what type of air attacks do you mean? air combos? air fireballs?
the game has grabs and etc, the AI is just not used to using it that much.
well, how the ai works.. its all based on randomization, for example: when player 1 is attacking the dumb AI has a 10% chance of defending and the other 90% of making something stupid, the hard AI has a 90% chance of defending and while defending, if he has the energy bar at a certain anmount he has a great chance of counter attacking and etc. and it works like that for all kinds of situation.
BWEHEHEHE! Dead topic revival! Anyhow, I don't care about improving my TGF/MMF programming skills, as I fancy myself a pretty ingenious one already... and I don't have the patience nor Summer-brainpower to create a fighting engine. Even though I agree usually that using someone else's engine takes alot of fun out of it, I want to make a fighting game starring the characters of the OldManClayton Universe, with goofy animations and everything... Would you be willing to sell the engine Diefox? Maybe an exchange for something? I'd love to be able to put more credits in my games, the list is never long enough. Ya know, I haven't even tried it yet... let me get on that...
Oh and, on the side-topic of that weird frowny emoticon... We really need one with Eyebows going up and down, ya know, like in the Foxtrot comic strip.
EDIT: Bll... Maybe not... I don't know if that would translate well... Anyone wanna help me make a fighting game engine that's a tad easier for the end user? I want the focus to be more on laughing and having fun than beating a hard game... I suppose it would work... Meh.
