Hello I plan on making a fighting game this summer with MMF 2. But I don't know how. How could I make a good four player fighting game system complete with a versus mode and training mode and story mode. Also I need to know how I can make one frame affect another frame For instance if I select a character from frame one then they should know to load him up in frame two or have a pause screen where I could equip weapons and they'd have'em equip when I leave the pasue screen which would be in another frame.
Any help is apperciated and if it means anything I'll credit in my game.

This type of game can get really compplicated if you are not careful. I would just stick with a basic fighter for now. for the character selection you can use global values for example global value A = 1 then load player 1 etc...
For the fight sequences you need to define hit boxes so that you don;t get hurt just by walking into each other. you then need to couple these hit boxes with animations for each character. not too sure if you could use qualifiers for this though....

They're basically just like counters or alterable values, except they don't reset when you jump to another frame. All the functions you need are found under the special conditions object (that's the spanner icon in the event editor).
Edit: No, actually it's an icon of two computer monitors now! It was a spanner in TGF and MMF 1.5.
EDIT-I've used MMF2 but I lost it and have to get it again. Would it matter if I got standard or developer

Check with Clickteam, they can email you your serial number. Surely they will give you a discount since all you need is 2CDs, not actually a serial number. Email Jeff, he's very good with lost serials (i've lost mine twice ).
