At 18:01 GMT 17/06/08, a minute after the scheduled Firefox 3 Release Date Mozilla's server crashed because of traffic overload.
The release date has been moved to tomorrow.
At the time of crashing Mozilla's server was slower than TDC's and got more Service Unavailable errors.
Safari runs so much better than Firefox on my Mac. Firefox is slow, choppy and takes a while to load whilst Safari is much more faster, smooth and loads straight away. And the latest Firefox 3 build for Mac looks horrible. I'm sticking with Safari.
Edit: Safari 4? How did you two get it? I know they're seeding it to developers but were you two eligible for it or did you find other means of getting it?
I'm not entirely sure the order of releases here, but based upon how I've viewed the programs:
IE6
FireFox
IE7
Safari
It seems as tough Safari is more of a ripoff of Internet Explorer's upgrade from 6 to 7. I could be wrong here, but I tried Safari, and FireFox is much better... at least on Windows.
What? Safari for any platform is better than any IE version.
Safari 3 passes the Acid2 test and Safari 4 passes the Acid3 test.
IE8 hardly passes the Acid2 test for comparison.
Safari has more features than IE and the only criticism on Windows Safari is that it looks like a Mac software although it's a Windows software now.
For the record: I like any browser that supports open standard.
If you do, help Mozilla getting a world record on the Most Downloaded Software in 24 hours by simply downloading Firefox 3, even if you like Safari or Opera better.
