So I'm following the trend and I'm leaving TDC. It was nice first, but it is quite unpleasant to visit.
I'm listing the top 5 reasons, some of them can be still fixed, some can not. Hopefully some will be changed for the good.
Reason Number 1: Probably the most common reason to leave TDC. The good old friendly members just stop visiting and unfriendly and rude people are slowly taking over the site. They've even made Phizzy leave, something that 20 bans could not do.
Reason Number 2: The admins are too nice, and unnatural. The warning system isn't used as it should be, and judging by the number of offenses some members have done they should have been banned ages ago. Moreover, admins warn members they like more less frequently. DavidN was one of the best admins in this site and has kept TDC with a minimal level of sanity, but now he has left. Why? See reason above.
Reason Number 3: Financially and technically, TDC has no chance to survive. TDc has recently got a brand new server recently, which is a great improvement over the older one, but, TDC will not be able to afford such a server for long. There are quite a lot of donations now, but how long will that keep? In a month or two people will slowly stop donating, and the only choice would be to go back to a "Service Unavailable"-style server.
Reason Number 4: Members' respect is gained by their opinions and not by their games and contributes to TDC and Click in general. I'd take myself as the perfect example here. I've done much, MUCH to Click and TDC specifically. Be it visible such as my extensions, my free web services, helping people in the support forums of TDC and Clickteam or behind the seance like helping with testing new features on TDC or reporting bugs and security holes (I've reported one just this week), my respect is determined by my (Some would say extreme) opinions on topics such as Scirra, Microsoft, IE and such. Which leads me to the last reason.
Reason Number 5: The increasing support of Scirra in TDC. Personally, as someone who knows the truth behind everything in this case (And those who don't believe me, bite me), I can not stand the increasing support of an illegal, dirty product like Construct over TDC, both administative and member-wise. Considering Construct as Click or a Click Product is even offensive.
These reasons are not pointed to any specific member, but there's obviously 2 or 3 members that are very noticeable for making this reasons true. I will not mention names though, for the sake of making this post natural-sided.
So this is my final goodbye to TDC.

Edit: I'm sorry if anyone takes this post offensive, especially Clubsoft and Flava who have worked hard to make TDC better, but failed and not of their own fault.
Sorry to see you leave. I certainly understand some of the points you've made, and I can only say that the admins and myself will try our best to make the DC a better place. Hope you decide to come back some time in the future

When those things happen, sometimes admins don't do much about it.
I mean don't get me wrong, that is a rare case that the admins do nothing.
Sometimes they do come a little late though.

I can't help thinking this is actually about LIJI getting a warning or something petty.
However correct some of those points may seem to me, you really don't help yourself LIJI. You provoke and attack just as much as anyone else on this site, thus the majority of your reasoning as to why you're leaving is completely hypocritical.

Sorry, but personality and attitude comes before produce. I can make a nice looking game, yet people wont like me any more than before than they do at the moment, probably because I can be a bastard.

You can't help yourself peaking in after a couple of days just to see whats going on, only a couple of people have managed to stay away and maybe they are still peaking in as a guest (shadowcaster and pete, we miss ya!)
So if you feel you should leave right now go for it but do drop in from time to time, things keep on changing around this site on a "daily" basis. And look at all the great things going on at the site, me and club will never let this site perish no way, hehehe and clickteam with the mobile stuff and mmf 3d in the far fguture how would you not want to be here for that?

you can be just as unfriendly and rude as the next guy. so can i and so can anyone else. most of whom i would consider unfriendly people have been here as long or longer than most of the friendly ones.

oh so you want admins like on acoders where they ban YOU for being personally attacked by one of THEIR members? or some sites where you get banned for seemingly NO reason? theyre just fair. i'll take tdc admins over any others any day.

if it has to go back to "service unavailable" for a time being then so be it. but i agree with rikus. they will do anything in their power as long as click is alive to keep this site alive as well. its the last of its kind, and the only one that matters anymore.

i have still yet to see you even remotely come close to showing any kind of rational argument or considerable evidence of this being the slightest bit true. so consider yourself bitten.
im sorry to say this but sometimes i feel the admins' sincerity about being sorry about some people leaving is fake. i mean phizzy was banned how many times? and when he is unbanned he decides to leave? and flava says "Sorry to see you go, hope you decide to stay."? i dont know if he was for or against the phizzy bans so maybe he was truly sorry.

Drama, and hope to make a radical change by DRASTIC MEASURES(!).
TDC goes through changes constantly. Wishing for things to be like they used to be will be impossible, so if you're losing friends, then go make new ones! It's not really TDC's fault. Admins are too used to their jobs and to the crap that people pull around here. You can't BAN everyone.
Maybe 200-300 years down the road people will find your work and will show it in museums! There's hope!
