That Blackpool Tower Walk of Faith thing reminds me of this thing on the Eureka Skydeck in Melbourne. It's a glass box, with roughly that same sized base as that, and the glass is fog coloured making it impossible to see through and so you stand in this box near the top floor and it slowly moves out of the building, but you can't see what's happening. And then suddenly the glass becomes crystal clear and your standing 300 metres above the ground in a glass box and there's no way out, but the veiw is pretty good Here's a pic from the outside of the tower:
