Without sounding bitchy, it was pretty much done out of ban sportsman ship IMO. He reacted badly when I gave him 3 stars for Iffermoon, by mailing me saying it was like a slap in the face, when I had given substantial reasoning for that particular rating and I also gave positive points in my post, too.
There wasn't any need for him to delete his games, he just wanted people to noticed he had, which was pretty bitter. That's why he changed his name, too. If someone really wasn't that bothered, and wanted to leave, they'd just log out. I mean, for all the attention he's getting, he may as well have made another goodbye thread.

hey its true, but what can you do. People will be people. He might get over it and come back, he might not. This place isn't very forgiving; you can put tons of effort into something and watch it flop, and the ratings drama is just insult to the injury of all that vain work.

I don't think it was in vain at all! People will always receive criticism for the games. It helps them create better games in the future!
I know it helps me massively.
Well. There's lots of unanswered questions, like why was Assault Andy never given the position of admin back when he applied before Flava got the role? It would have made natural sense, him being an editor already and all... and he has a wonderful personality.

Iffermoon looks like it has been worked on for years, that's a lot of effort put into one game. but when u look at the game, u can easily notice that it's not really very relaxing to play. Loading screen is too long, rpg element isn't all that good. And click programs aren't that good for such a heavily scripted game. He should have used some other program.
I can't say anything bout gfx, they r excellent. not really my style with monkeys and all that but it's still awesome.
Iffermoon looks stunning and has brilliant music but the gameplay consists mainly of walking left and right and collecting randomly generated tokens.
There might be some rpg style battles too but i couldnt work out what was going on in them.
I knew something like this would probably happen. I didn't feel that there was a need to explain myself, but I guess there is. I'm being accused of being bitter and leaving out of bad sportsmanship, despite all the reviews I've written, despite all of the positive comments I've made, and despite all of the conflicts I've tried to resolve. I've tried very hard to be something positive for the site, but I can't keep defending myself like this against attacks, especially when no one else seems to mind, and no one stands up for anyone else anymore.
Listen, I'm not 20 anymore. I'm 30. I've been a member of this community for almost eight years. I have a wife and two kids. I've been making games with klik products since I was 15. I need to focus on my kids now, I need to focus on my job. The Daily Click has been great to me for all these years, but I just need to pay attention to my family now. I'm not LEAVING the commuinity, I just don't want to make games anymore, it doesn't make me happy like it used to.
This has nothing to do with anyone, and it shouldn't have been in a forum topic. Rikus, I'm sure there was a better way to handle this.
"I knew something like this would probably happen."
Of course you did, that's why you deleted your games and changed your name and avatar. But yeah, I'm pretty sure if someone criticised your reviews you'd delete them, too.
Schroom, yikes i was just asking the other members why the games you worked so hard on were removed it did not make any sense to me, including all the comments people put in there good or bad. i loved playing them and just wanted to re-download one of them. In my opinion you are a very well respected game-maker but also reviewer on the site, i was just shocked thats all, i cant help some of the bad replys but the intent of the topic was honestly to find out what happened not to start a flame topic.
And hey 28 here, wife 2 kids, carrying a ultra thick shield for comments and suggestions good or bad, you should know when you are in the public eye you can expect some slash comes with it
Again no bad intent just wanted to know what happened, i did do a forum search first but came up blank. peace bro!

Rikus is pretty wholesome man, I'm sure his request was 100% genuine; he simply wanted to play your game. Others are simply here to cause a rukus is seems.
The admins here respect all the reviews and great contributions you made to this site, it's just unfortunate to see some of them disappear. You were one of the ones who really pushed RPG's in the klik format. I'm pretty sure we can all understand that as you get older, life takes priority. That's the natural order of things.

Criticism might help, but I take it badly sometimes. Maybe he did too. Adam, no need in throwing Shroomy under the bus by saying he wrote you some e-mail.

Guys, it's no big deal. This is the reason I didn't want the whole thing to be discussed, because it just doesn't matter that much. This has nothing to do with anyone on the site. Like I said before, I'm not leaving the site, I just don't want to make games anymore. I didn't make a "goodbye" topic, I just had other things to take care of for a while. It's my choice to delete the games that I posted. They had their run on the site, and they're all still available from other places. I didn't delete them because of any bad ratings. I think my games did just fine- they were recommended by the admins, got good ratings on Klikcast, they were in the 2nd and 3rd spots in the top download list, not to mention getting a lot of donations on my site. None of the comments were that dramatic anyway. Me and my games have been treated well by the ol' DC.
But if you want me to give you a better reason for deleting my downloads, well ok- The rating system is being abused in my opinion, not on my games, but on many others. The only reason that my two games were in 2nd and 3rd place was because the other downloads that my games were competing with got trolled with 0-star ratings that dropped them off the charts. A game in 1st place from months of downloads could get sent to 8th place just because a site troll wants it that way. And the biggest problem that no one has noticed is that people can rate 0-stars, then delete their comment, making their vote anonymous. A 0-star vote still counts even when the comment is deleted. FIG got punked twice from the same person like this, and Morder Hund got tanked by an anonymous 0-star. So yes, in my opinion this site has been infested with a few site trolls that are abusing the ratings system, Adam not included because he at least gives 3-stars when he doesn't like something, even though he still counts as a mini-troll in my opinion because he likes to fight.
I'm going to write reviews again, which is still the best way to rate games on the site. My two games were taking up top spots because of a programming loophole in my opinion, and I felt it was time to make way for bigger and more deserving games.
And Adam, the things you're talking about happened months ago! You have to let stuff like that go after a while. I know it's hard for you to believe, but this really has nothing to do with you or the way you rated my game.
"Adam not included because he at least gives 3-stars when he doesn't like something,"
Another little swipe when you said you'd dropped that issue. Ill rate a game how I think it deserves to be rated, and fairly. I gave Iffermoon 3 stars and I had a good list of reasons to back up the rating, in which I also included some good points about the game.
"I know it's hard for you to believe, but this really has nothing to do with you or the way you rated my game."
I never claimed that you deleted the game over my rating, I was just using that as an example of what you can be like. Makes me laugh how you're a "happily retired clicker" yet you returned as soon as your name was mentioned
Adam, you need to get one of those little stress toys that you squeeze when you feel frustrated.
I still am a happily retired kliker. Like I said, I'm going to review games but not make them anymore. I need to make room for more important things in my life, and that's what I'm going to do.
You seem to have a lot more to say when you're not being put on the spot. I'll leave you alone then and give you time to plan out a better response, since you tend to like having the last word (it goes back to the whole control thing).
Hey man, I'm very proud of those things and very happy. If you can't understand that, then that doesn't make me mad at you, it makes me feel sorry for you.

...hey. Can we not resort to personal attacks? No one likes to read those, and no one can debate them either.

Adam, unless I'm reading your post wrong, are you asking me to stop challenging you because you're 22? Do you consider yourself too young to be challenged by someone, especially when you make a personal attack against their family life? I wouldn't have expected that from you.
With the kind of attitude Adam frequently represents himself with, I declare him most likely to get mugged if he wasn't safely sitting on an opposite side of the internet.

Can we please stop this, i don't care who started it or not just quit it already, were not children god dammit!
Anyway back on topic:
Iffermoon was a damn good game, although completing it once (Although i used a glitch to beat it quickly.) was enough because it wasn't worth playing again.
Its a shame your not making anymore games Shroomlock, your really good at it.;_;
Adam, what's happened to you recently? You were losing an argument, you tried to save it by threatening to abuse a moderator position you had elsewhere (making your current line of attack... slightly hypocritical), and when people quite rightly challenged you for it you just changed the subject to attack somebody else instead. Can to take a moment to calm down, step back and just realize what an enormous... bitch you're being?

- Ok, you must admit that was the most creative cussing this site have ever seen -
Adam just thinks that he can attack other people because he's 22, but then whines about how he's only 22, when someone older then him starts to rightfully tell him off.
