Winter compo I say! Apart from two cool compos at once not being groovy, Xmas is so limiting. I remember we had a wintersports compo here once, still have the unfinished "Fishhead boarders" on my old pc. And I really start ranting like an old man now. I think the prizes were always pretty good, of course it's "make game with MMF, win MMF", I won MMF once and made a friend happy with it, which made me happier than I would be with $100 or something.
WINTER COMPO! WINTER COMPO! It's the only thing keeping me alive (not really though), is the hope for a winter compo on the TDC so I can finally submit something good.
I think it was Circy who always organized the DC winter competitions - but I'll happily organize one if none of the other admins do. I think we've always had one anyway..
How about a competition revolving around one, original idea. You know, the gravity gun in Half Life 2, the physics in red faction, the explosion feature in falafel, a 3D tower effect, amazing AI you have to prevent from catching up with you...
