Heyhey! I was wondering if anyone know where you can get fair prices on Wacom tablets, prefferably in Europe.
I GUESS the States would be ok too but then i'll have to pay an expensive shipping because i live in Norway...
Any help?
I don't know so much about them... I know there are diffrent "classes", ones for the pros and ones for the hobbyists, ones for the amateures and ones for the artists. Diffrent prices too. What did yours cost?
I got my tablet from a long time back, around 1999 or something. Wacom Graphire or something. It was good, but after a while it got too insensitive to use and the area was too small for my drawing style. I think it was between $20-80 (the price in the olde days, with different techs and inflation), it's good if you don't want to draw with a mouse, but will get annoying if you think you're going to spend a lot of time on it.
I saw it in the stores, no shipping, in Malaysia, which is much further off from Europe and the USA, but then again, it's closer to Taiwan and China
Might want to think if you really need a tablet though. Tablets are superb for ink-like drawings, because of the pressure sensor, but not much more useful than mice for pixel-art. I mean, yeah, it's more fun to draw with a tablet than a mouse, but may not be worth the price.

I actually order a Wacom tablet called Bambo on amazon Friday. I should be getting it anytime after tomorrow. It only cost me a little over $70 including shipping.
