Well people are usually forced to grow up in a stereotypical male/female way. Girls have long hair and wear pink and Boys play with cars and have short hair. Thats how people are programmed when they're growing up. Of course there is more to it than that.
Maybe boys like to play games because it's technology and girls prefer to draw pictures of ponies or something because of the same thing.

I'm actually more of an artist than a technician. My natural talent is in language, apparently I'm good in English even though it's not my first language. So, I end up using that talent to learn programming languages, but looks like I'm finally getting the hang of math.
I see games as an art form, just like architecture. You spend a lot of effort into making something beautiful. I see a lot of technology lovers in this field, they end up making the nicest engines and stuff, use game design theory to the letter, and wonder why people prefer games like Jeff Pwns II and Knytt Stories. You just gotta love what you do.
Boys play games because their friends play games. My sister plays games, but only her friends who have brothers play games. Could be because they don't have any friends who play games. I won't make any judgement why it's so, just an observation.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
Anyway, just to clear this up, I didnt start this topic to make girls "feel a bit funny" about joining TDC or anything of the sort. Like I said before, I was only curious as to why there are only guys in TDC while clearly the male-female ratio is far more equal in places like Deviantart. I apologize if it seemed like something else.

I'll just end to say that I am sexist, simply because there are biological and cultural differences to both sexes. And that causes a difference in the way they react around each other. Nothing about women or men being inferior, just different.
Then you are by definition not sexist; sexism is the belief that one gender is inherently inferior/superior to the other, and not the observation or claim of difference in itself. This also applies to those other attitudes concerning somatic differences, the obvious example being racism, which similarly requires the belief or implication that one race is inferior/superior to another.
