I wonder if it's possible for one of the almighty admins to code in a feature where a user could choose to hide all game ratings until they themselves have voted? This would support unbiased votes for those who care about that sort of thing.
I guess the real question is if anyone tries to be impartial to a game before rating it...? Opinions?

I like that idea for the reasons you said, that's how GotW currently works too but it would be easy enough to just log out and see the results. And I think blocking ratings to guest users isn't that useful.
Tough call.
What do you guys mean by disable ratings? You mean giving users the option to disable ratings on their own games?
Though, to comment on the original idea, I don't think hiding ratings from users is a good idea, as it sort of defies the point of ratings. People generally use the ratings as way of seeing which games are considered to be worth downloading (and not everybody wants to rate games anyway, so the ratings would always be hidden for them). If you hide ratings to get rid of any bias, then you'd also have to hide comments as they often do the same thing.
