Not to bring the construct vs. mmf2 discussion again but you should take a look at the latest builds, if for you it's still crap then mmf2 is crap too. I wish mmf2 had some of construct's features, and I wish Construct had mmf2's stability (however note that it's getting there fairly quickly), but in the end of the day, construct is free while mmf2 isn't.
Also construct having more bugs than mmf2 has nothing to do with clickteam. If MMf2 has fewer bugs then great they could focus in these few bugs instead of having to focus in several bugs like scirra do. The truth is (at least) two full time workers are being outpaced by a single part time worker (who has very little free time, being a university student).
btw as far as I know he didn't steal anything, all he did was beta test mmf2 and then started to create a new tool, I don't know how that counts as stealing.
I'm not a defensive fan of construct, I never did anything with it other than playing around for a few minutes, and I own mmf2 so it's not of my interest to see clickteam going down. However I do think Construct has quite a lot of potential and is already perfectly usable, and nobody can deny that Construct is increasingly becoming a serious threat to Clickteam with each new update. And since it's free I can have both, so isn't that great ?
OH MY GOD! I made some graphic libraries for CT! WAIT so did 10 other people ! Doesn't exactly make me a CT staff member, but perhaps makes me understand a bit more about loyalty, and how NOT to back stab those you work with/for.
Didn't know they had a list like that
But yea... I'd like MMF2 to have a time scaling function like Construct and zoom in/out (even Gamemaker does this). Moving the OK and Cancel buttons in the image editor would be nice, I've never hit the wrong one but they do seem perilously close. And sometimes it crashes when I try playing sound samples and music from the sound list. And what's with the graphic replacement bug? I know Kyle had the same problem with Bonesaw and I've found my own way around it but it's still annoying.
Why does anyone dis Construct? It's an exciting new rival to MMF2 that has the potential to make games as good as, if not better than, any Click product has so far. That makes it alright in my opinion; I am especially impressed with W.I.T.E. at the moment. Sure it hasn't many people using it at the moment and we've not seen anything mind-blowing yet, but i bet they said the same about KnP in the 90's too.
And as for loyalty, well that's fine for some people however i know for a fact that no business puts your loyalty above its own desires, so why do the same for them? If you prefere MMF2 to Construct because it has more features that you want then fine. If you prefere Construct because it can do things MMF2 cannot yet then fine. And if you like them both for the advantages they both have then that's fine too.
If you prefere one over the other in the name of loyalty however, only you will lose out in the end! If i had stayed loyal to SEGA after the 16-bit generation i'd have never experienced the wonders of the Playstation, PS2 and XBox 360! There's only one brand i am ever loyal to - brand Marko!

Not everyone is dissing Construct, on the contrary, the only two Construct bashers I know are Adam and Liji, both being related to Clickteam in some way.
This is now a MMF vs. Construct discussion. Holster those guns.
I think Clickteam will come up with something new and exciting Like originally said, 08 was a steady year with nothing massive. They will more than likely complete HWA (or get close to it) and get further along with Java too. And maybe they will announce a new project or endeavor.
I think 2008 was a bit disappointing year as I was expecting more. Of course last year's effort will usually lead to results in next year, so you can't quite consider years separate from each other in that sense, but nevertheless I was waiting for the Java runtime to get finished during 2008 and also some sort of a first version of the Java mobile runtime. And the HWA of course. None of these were released, but probably this year (not sure about the mobile java runtime though)...
