You seem to be too good, too fast to be a newbie. I suspect that you're one of those veterans from back then who have been lurking quietly around TDC for a while and suddenly register lately
I just wanted to write that so that I could post a link to this and say "I knew it" 2 years from now

haha thanks! but im not that good, ive just had alot of time to work on it and most of the stuff ive learned is from the articles section and tutorials. about the only thing ive really been able to get a good grasp on are flags and values (i made a few levels in starcraft a long time ago, and they used triggers which were kind of similar to flags) and the platform movement objects. the rest is just a bunch of copied thrown together code that doesnt work very well... well to me at least. im sorry, im just really excited about this!

I have the same feeling as Muz. Regardless, welcome to the TDC. I've been around for a while but I'm too lazy to actually finish something. I'm not that good either. Anyway, whenever I've needed help learning something the community has helped me. So just ask questions and you shall receive

Actually, I was thinking about writing just that. But calling people a fake account is kinda rude. Heh, come to think of it, one of the coolest guys I've met recently turned out to be a girl. I know that miss chloecake is not a real cake, no more than OldManClayton is an old man IRL, but I like the chloecake all the same

Thanks, I know I can do it if I put enough time to it but like I said, I'm lazy. I have other more pressing projects such as getting my novel published. Best of luck with your game.
definitely. its a very long process especially for first time authors. i have an english professor who got rejected 40 times before finally getting an agent. his book still isn't published yet.
i have to commend you, im not good at convincing people to buy my crap. id prolly end up doing like jay sherman, and put a cardboard cutout of my self that obnoxiously says "by my book, BUY MY BOOOKAH."
