Are there any tutorials or examples for lan support?
And which object is best to use for it.

Creating a multiplayer game is a lot like trying to teach your game how to control a player remotely with as little key strokes as possible. Theres an extension called OINC which replaces (and is much better then) MOOClick, you can find it over at Clickteam's forum. While your there, Dizzy created some video tutorials on how to get it working. Defiantly worth checking out.

Ah, sorry. When I saw lan, I immediately thought of like lan gaming and online lan partys. My fault. In other case, I'm not sure.

You just need to know the lan IP addresses. So, yes.

local is almost always 92.168.1.xxx but may vary depending on the network.
lan is the same as online its just using the local ip's. you can't connect to the external ip from within that ip's network. which is what lan is for.
