After Rikus recently made a facebook thingy I got an idea. It should be somewhat simple for me to create a facebook application where people could put games made for Vitalize. Perhaps this could be done by allowing each person to make a submission which would contain a name of the game, a link to the vitalize file and a link to a screenshot and/or title shot. Then it could be made so it was possible for everyone to give a game either thumbs up or down.

What I want to ask you guys is:

Would this be a total waste of my time to create, or would you guys find it cool? I'm thinking it could get more people into clicking and such. But also, as far as i remember, there already is an online arcade of sorts.

Well I'd be interested in making my own dedicated app for each of my big projects, but I don't know PHP.

we actually tried this over at TGP. We released the original Click Copter as a facebook app that patched in to the TGP scoreboards. As of today, we have 45 active users of the application, and since it's release about 950 users have added the application (but most of them have deleted it). We didn't see a whole lot of success with it though, probably because of two reasons: 1) Facebook users are mostly college students, many of whom I know to be using Macs. 2) People aren't really keen on downloading Vitalize -- or any extranneous plugin for that matter -- because they are so afraid of it being a piece of malware (even though we know its safe!). Hopefully Clickteam's Flash exporter will help out with that.

Java could be used sometime in the future, which is cross platform and many people have the runtime.
