Inspired by a thread at NeoGaf (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=357454), I figured we should make our own boxes for our own games. Or other peoples if you haven't released a game yet.
So go fer it.

Yes, that's an actual game.
The project is still in development and it should be ready by July.
It's a puzzle game combining Sokoban-ish mechanics with a space-themed plot.

Nice idea James \ /
Those look great images - especially Shinkun, though I've never played the game. The last two look more like book covers. Nice 'shopping though I'd love to join in but unfortunately my games are way too short to be put in a box and sold. Could we open this competition up to making game boxes for other games, not just our own?

A retro boxart I drew when I created my game.
Made to look like the old Intellivision boxes.
Dr. James' third one got me completely flabbergasted. And the second one is pretty nice too.
Mr.Green's 'Undead Closure' looks completely like a real boxart, nice!
I love cover art, all games should have it. Even downloadable ones, like albums.

More or less a mock-up.
Drawn on paper, scanned, and edited with the "not as hot as Photoshop". Btw the Nitro sign was meant to be grittyish/hardcore.
Edit: Nother 'un. Kind of abstract looking imo. (Ugh... the colors seriously didn't turn out right...)
Lousy, but Un-edited for a truly natural taste with no artificial flavors or perservatives. Edited by W3R3W00F

Innit I tried finding an Amiga box but they never had a standard to follow. Which is a shame in itself.

That cardboard cutout style is something I've been doing as far back as 2006 - http://jimmilerock.deviantart.com/art/Chainsaw-man-revisited-27312040

There's a difference between the cardboard cutout look, and cardboard cutouts hanging from strings and attached to sticks in a fashion that almost screams "Little Big Planet". Just an observation

Nope, it's an evolution of style derived from something I experimented with in 2006. I don't go to game shops and I don't own LBP, nor do I read up on it.
edit: Doing a google search it seems the LBP box has a fabric style and badges, not paper? And there are no supports? Edited by Dr. James MD

I havent played the game or owned it. Ive seen a couple of videos yet I was instantly reminded of it. Kororinpa for the wii uses cardboards, papers and felts for the box graphics yet they managed to do it in a completely different style.

That looks really good. Maybe change the tone of the ship to what the tone of the alien is to make it suit better cause it seems to stick out of the image

It's hella hideous though, the cover is the wrong size and the disc is one of them square ones (i thought they were cool ) so slot-loading drives dont take them.

What I HAD Until my damn computer crashed. I seriously want to smash it to little pieces and the only rememdy is this. http://hallpass.com/media/bash-the-computer.html
Through all explicit swearing in my mind, I am bent on restarting it.
Edit: Nother 'un
In about 40 minutes or so. Not too wild about the end result (Let alone the paint program).
Not exactly the one I wanted to redo either, but hey- I'd say a PSP would be more suited for the game. I'll get around to the real thing later. Edited by W3R3W00F
