Just kidding, but really for some reason any post that OldManClayton makes messes up the forum. The problem occurs in, Opera, Firefox 3, and IE. Google chrome works fine however.
This is what you are doing OMC!, also, your posts sometimes randomly pick up stuff from Dr. James posts, and sometimes you make the reply button and the page buttons disappear. It seem to have the most problems on firefox.
why just him? someone else added an image to their rating awhile ago and it did the same thing. lets ban whoever hasnt fixed that bug. lol jk clubsoft/flava
Well it was me first!
so they'd have to ban me too!
But, I know what causes it, sorta,
I examined the page source and it seems that when you try to use an image in your rating the site adds extra bits to the image ref.
BUT, the code only allows for a certain number of characters in the custom rating, so to make up for this it simply replaces some of the other code in front of the rating.
Namely:
</script>
This code is then shortened to:
ript>
With the beginning of it cut off by the extra characters in the custom rating.
So I assume that some browsers don't try and guess at what it's supposed to say, and it screws up the page.
It seems that the server script just replaces the hex values or something instead of simply inserting the rating directly?
I'm no net coder.
Lol, I'd try putting a pop up in the custom rating, but that'll get me banned for sure.
Geez, guys, keep the images and links in your sigs.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
Don't ruin the ability to put images in the custom rating though. Responsible images can be placed in them, or something like a reflection of their icon and name like I saw another member walking around the site with. Stuff like that is clever.

Yes, yes it was. It didn't break the site or do anything reekdickulous either. Was quite surprised to see that removed whilst other ratings are allowed. Infact...
Going to work on the custom ratings some time this week and limit what exactly you can put in there (e.g. some people can make themselves look like admins, have images in their ratings .etc)
Why don't you just make it so that images that exceed a specific size, are automatically resized and make it so that all Admins have a specific tag that can't be hidden, reproduced, or bought.
People don't have the ability to add their own tags, just buy tags. I doubt many people here have the knowledge to hack themselves a custom tag. I'm not talking about Custom Ratings.
