There's nothing in the 249 Beta 3 that I need so I'll wait till it's officially released, but the HWA one can't even load a level of my project now unless I deactivate the DirectX on frame editor option. It only runs if I deactivate the Window Control object now, previously it would run but only in a corner of the window. I think I'll just wait till it's out of Beta too.
I was having the same problem with it running in the corner of the frame in beta 3
BUT,
Beta 4 fixes that, resize to current window size works now, at least in DirectX 8 mode.
Also there is an option to use anti-aliasing on a re-sized window, so it smooths out the graphics.
Too bad they left in the useless qualifiers though.
EDIT:
My favorite new Features/Fixes:
- Application properties : new "Anti-aliasing when resizing" option. This option is used in conjunction with the "Resize to fill window size" option. It works only in HWA mode.
- Runtime : when you move another application over a MMF2 HWA application and reactivate the MMF2 HWA application, the display used to clip to the area of the other application until you activate or move it.
- Runtime : "Resize to fill window" used to not work in Direct3D 8 mode.
- New Active Direct Show object : this object allows you to play a video as an active object, i.e. not in a window.

Am I doing something wrong? I wanted to test this out but it won't let me check it.
OMC - it should be enabled when you check the above option (Resize to fit window).
Wow, I just checked this out and I'm using HWA features for the first time. I bought MMF of course but I haven't had the CD here for a while. As far as I know you've needed a serial number to install all other HWA upgrades, but not this one. Maybe because it's a beta. Anyway, yay.
Try this, first enable Directx 8 or 9, then go to the window options, uncheck everything except maximize at start, then go to runtime, check resize frame to window size and then it should work.
