To stop me getting bored of Poob, I decided to revamp some of my past engines and projects I've been showing/working on into a big project titled: Babes With Guns.
Anyway last week I was experimenting with graphic ideas, and I accidentally blurred a wall tile instead of changing its colour but I liked what I saw. So I decided to make all the pictures blurry to create a more graphically enhanced game. Anyway I just want your views on these pictures, if you think I should carry on with the technique
It's still in concept development and nothing is really final, but I thought I'll share it with you and get some opinion. (This is why I havn't made a project page for it)
Looks nicer, but not too big on the blur. It's like trying to trick you into thinking theirs more detail then there really is. Looks decent, but I'd prefer sharper graphics, looks nicer in the long run.
I don't like the grass at the bottom at all. It looks like nintendo 64 textures. really low quality but blurred loads so you can't see each pixel is 8 times it's normal size.
The sprites look pretty well drawn and the rest is alright but a bit dull.

I think the way you described it, about N64 textures blrured to hide their imperfections... perfect.
That's what I had in mind too, but I just couldn't think about it.

Yeah that was the main aim after the accident to keep it blurred because I was trying to create a feel of Jet Force Gemini game:
Graphics similar to that, and the blur effect worked wonders. (You can prolly guess I'm making my projects based around RARE games.)
Thanks for your suggestions and comments , I'm gunna mess arouund with your ideas and see what I can come up with. I'll post up what I've created in the next couple of days,
