My place is all dusty, I vacuum-cleaned it 3 times in a row now and it's still dusty. Any tips?

Dust has to come from somewhere. Block wherever it's coming from?

Thanks, but I learned a lot of the indoor-dust comes from the human skin (dead skin cells), from furniture and pets. I can't really block myself, need something to sit on and my pets are cute. I could block the outdoor dust (pollen, sand and so on) but that would also mean blocking the oxygen it comes with.

I've seen those pictures of your room at the top of a house, and I'd say it's pretty mandatory that you have at least a little bit of dust to float by the window so the sunshine can pass through it. Attics aren't attics without that.

You could also put a little miniature black hole in the corner of your room... that would probably take care of it...

If the dust doesn't make you choke or anything, just leave it. If you've hoovered it three times there can't be much remaining.

My vacuum cleaner seems to be from 1989. Maybe I will try another one.

Or put a new filter in it. Ours is probably from 1989 too and it gets clogged.

here are a few tips I've learned from watching tv:
- use white wine to get red wine out of cream carpets
- use helium fill ballons with tissue on it to gather floating dust
- use air filters
- use dust collection systems

Uh, thanks, but I don't have wine stains nor cream carpets, the balloon thing doesn't sound it would work, air filters sound unhealthy..and what are dust collection systems? I should spend more time watching TV.

I did notice that the top floor of my house is a lot more dusty than the other rooms. Maybe it does suffer from attic-itis like OMC said.

If you have an air filter, it really helps reduce the dust
I've heard there's some type of furniture cleaner that supposedly makes the dust less "clingy."

Um... I think that's all I got... good luck with fighting the dust bunnies!

Is it alot of dust? ... uhhh ... get yourself a bag made out of some kind of material that will collect dust and not let it escape ... then connect it to a fan with the fan blowing into it so it sucks the dust into the bag ... ?

Or you could try those Ionic dust collection plate things .... I doubt they really work though, never used em before.
Maybe try ShamWow cloths with dust spray or furniture polish?

I've heard that some air filters emit Ozone, though, which is toxic. Something that I find hilarious, since it's just three oxygen atoms.
