I also get a lot of dust in my room, it just accumulates very easily. Not sure why though.. like dust will settle on my keyboard in a relatively short amount of time.

On another note, has anyone seen the Dane Cook movie "My Best Friend's Girl"? He sells air filters for a living, it's quite funny because no one can prove that it's not actually working in their house.
Which is true. Unless you have the tools to break down and identify what chemicals, substances, particles are in your air. But I doubt it.

You'd be surprised. Dihydrogen monoxide (made with only one oxygen atom) kills thousands every year.

Anyway, on topic..
My house has humans and my girl's house has plenty of humans and cats, but I don't even notice any dust. Probably related to outside things like pollution or barbecues. Or chalk. I'd assume you have a lot of chalk?

Oh.. and vacuum cleaners tend to release dust if they're not filtered or emptied properly. That sounds like it could very well be the problem. Sure, it cleans up dust from some parts of your house, but after a certain limit, it starts spewing that dust back out.
