I had just gone downstairs to tell my mum I read he had died on the internet only for the news to confirm it right there and then. Just when he was working towards a comeback too.

Yes I'm sad he is dead. I'm not being a dick, I just hate how everyone is all "MJ" this and that. Bloody media domination in today's soiciety.
It's a shame that he's passed on, because I've been fan of his works for a while now, but I'm just teed off with the over-reaction.
I'm ill, I'm allowed to be cranky.
Another thing that gunna bug me about this death is
a) MJ jokes. Seriously...its gunna get old so so so quick.
b) This whole hoo hah about "OMGZ BUT HE TOUCHES CHILDREN"
Right, if he did or didn't do the crimes, ISNT THE PROBLEM! He was a good music artist noneoftheless.
Urgh, I know no-ones said it here because we are all normal thinking people, but seriously the amount of dim-wits on facebook it's driving me potty.
Because to me at least, his music was the soundtrack to my childhood. Before I liked music I liked Amiga music. Before I liked Amiga music I liked Michael Jackson. He had millions of adoring fans, was a real character (how many of them do we have now?), and all that.
I have the facebook toolbar on my Firefox, and everytime the news changed their mind about his condition the right hand side of my screen got flooded with pop ups of people's status changes >__>

I fail to understand the whole modern celebrity culture where you can become famous by simply appearing on tv. But Michael Jackson was in a totally different league. I guess it's a shame simply because he was so damn talented and seemed like such a loving guy. He got a really rough ride in recent years over something that may or may not have happened.
