So who's downloaded this? I did so earlier this morning and have been enjoying it all day, it truly is a brilliant game and I urge you to at least download the demo!
I don't normally post about game releases here but this game... mmm makes me go all fuzzy and warm inside
I've still got my original Worms 1, 2 and Armageddon for PC. But I's been wondering - is this a port of Worms 2 or Armageddon? Or is it an entirely new game with new weapons? Becuase Worms 1 on the Xbox was just WA but with fewer items.
A lot of the weapons are unavailable at the moment and will be so through the use of downloadable extras - hopefully which you wont need to be charged for.
Its a port of neither - in fact its actually a sequel to Worms Armageddon in 1999. The majority of the weapons are the same but there are new ones too. And those fire effects... mmmm
I found Worms 1 on XBL was ok, but was very minimalistic. This new game is 10 times as good.
Worms armaggedon is pretty much on my top 5 favorite games of all time, but the series seems to have gone downhill. I'll have to check this out, it sounds awesome!
You can log off any time you like, but you can't ever leave.
I felt that Worms World Party was a bit better than Armageddon.

I've had Worms 2 for quite a while now, havn't played it in years though. I did have Worms Armaggedon, full version, for a while but I lost it and have never been able to find it I wish I still had it actually.
Hah, I was good at roping, but not as good as some people, who would rope from the other side of the map, drop a holy hand grenade at the exact spot to deal 100 damage, then swing away. But then I did could play well without super ropes, unlike some people.
I beat most guys with a humble prod, dragon ball, and fire punch, though. Hehe, that trick where you jump, dragon ball a mine, and it bounces onto someone (with the tournament short fuse).. that was my favorite.

I can't wait to start swinging around the maps again, I used to be pretty good and could nail a few decent tricks. I always found the roping games more fun than the standard ones. Would be interesting to see how the AI handles roping, like you say, it's never really been done before.

Sir those were not the days! Well maybe to some degree but the way I see it now;
Back in the old PC days when I could only afford a few games the big boxes were okay. Now I have about 60 PC, 20 DS, 15 PSP, 20 GBA, 15 Wii, a kajillion 360 games. I'd need to build an extension to house them if they were old style boxes!
But the old ones are ace though. I've only kept a few (Duke Nukem X-treme, Worms Armageddon, Sim City 3k, Mortal Kombat...) and they do look purdy on the shelf.
I see what you mean, Dr. James - i have more games than i can play now! However, back then when i had alot fewer games i seemed to spend months/years playing the same games and getting expert at them. Nowadays i play one for a few weeks at most.... and then never touch them again! Such a shame...
I agree, the more games I get and the older I get the less I play them for it seems
Used to spend hours and hours playing the same games and now I find it hard to play games for more than a few hours at all. Let alone 30mins.
