I downloaded the demo of FL8 and I liked it a lot. Does anyone here think its a worthwhile buy?

If you have recording equipment, an instrument, and talent I'd say so.

I've been using the fruityloops products for about 10 years now, I must say it is excellent. You can do full studio recording or even just make midi files for games if you so choose.

Takes a little bit of getting used to, but well worth it in my opinion.

Also any features and instruments you want can be added via download of VST plugins

It's sort of like asking if Photoshop's worth it. If you don't know how to use it, chances are that it's not

But if you do, then go for it.

I've been using FL Studio for a while now and I really like it. I make electro music and I used lots of VSTs to do that. I didn't really like FL8 (I used FL7 mainly) but FL 9 is the latest and that's really good. It's got a fair lot of new features.

What sort of music are you planning to make?

Dang, this was long dead... I really don't have a certain kind of genre I wan't to make. If a tune pops into my head, I would make it.

Wow sorry I didn't even realise how old this was. It was the most recent topic on this board... eep.

Anyway, give the demo a try It's good for if a tune pops into your head. I think it's best for electro stuff.

Stealing from others is defiantly not recommanded if you want to sell your own products at a time!

Rudely deleted? More like finally a post that actually deserves to be deleted. You are an idiot. Just because you can pirate something doesn't mean that you should. People made fruity loops, not inanimate beings.

My post was deleted too. It's like China in here.

The whole piracy thing is a difficult topic. If you want to make music, and have no plans to make money from it, why not pirate the programme? If you didn't pirate it, you wouldn't buy it, so it's not like they miss out on any money. On the other hand, if you want to a commercial musician, you'd better buy it.

I'm poor, I can't afford computer programmes that cost hundreds of dollars - but I like to mess about with them occasionally and see what I can do. So I either be legit and never ever use them, or pirate them, get interested in them and possibly buy them when I feel I want to get serious with it. Absolutely no harm in that, in fact, it's what I did with MMF, and Clickteam benifitted from me buying it didn't they?

And before an admin deletes this out of hand, please read it and please realise this is a genuine discussion and not just some guy saying, "Hey, just download everything for free". Don't delete it.
