Well he's spent weeks making TDC Chat, and testing it... then "THE REAL TDC CHAT" comes along... First thing I'd have done is consulted Jon and ask him to adapt his version, or work on the new one. It's kinda like a great big slap in the face.
"Before I start This is in no way a offence to Jon who did a great job with the previous TDC chat"
actually its in GREAT offence to Jon. imo. you could have been mature about it and actually just told him it wasnt up to snuff before you went behind his back and started a new one in secret. what wasted effort on his part. he could have actually helped. where is adams dissaproving emote when you need it.

While I agree with you, I must add that Rikus is in a hard spot. I've been in this sorta situation before when getting people to help me out with my projects, and they don't quite make it how I visualized it to be. It's not that that particular person did a bad job. It's just that they did something totally/slightly different from what I wanted.
However I do think Rikus could've handled it better, and Jon too. I know this may sound marriage counsel esque, but I think if there had been more communication between the admins then this would have never happened. Secrets among a group that's supposed to be working together only causes confusion.
(Hmm, this actually sounds like I know what I'm talking about )
Plain text chat FTW. If I wanted to see everyone in a virtual world jumping around and talking to each other then I would give out my gamertag and Wii codes. At least that way you guys would get to jump around and I'd get some quality target practice in. Everybody wins!
Woow sounds like there have been quite a discussion here.
Okay first off, I agree with UrbanMonk too; It's kinda complicated...
But I suggest we melt the two together, Jon's chat and mine? Maybe?
I didn't know Jon was secretly creating a graphic based chat also. Because I think Jon's chat is awesome, I really do.
I would like to work together with Jon about this, what do you think?

Of course there are times when you don't get what the results you wanted, but I should think that you say "That's not what I wanted, this is" and give a second chance. I never said I was working on a graphical component because I started just this Sunday and wanted a working movement and chat engine and graphics before I said anything... I also think there's a difference between "I want the avatars" and "graphical chat"
