Next year in December, if I'm still here, I will bump this topic, if I remember. Then an admin will say don't revive old topics and lock it. See you then
How often do we lock them? It's usually, "Hey! This is a dead topic! " and it dies again on its own.
Are you trying to prove something? Not reviving dead topics is a rule TDC members kind of implicitly agreed on for various reasons. If we all decide to do away with that, then it will be done away with. Dead topic disapproval usually only happens when the original posters are gone anyway.
I never said it was a bad topic. I was wondering if he was making a point. I actually seem to recall something like this being done before... What you ought to do is post random things without any context, and see if you can remember why you posted them. Now that's a time capsule!
Like so:
Hopefully that site doesn't go down within the year.
Next year in December, I'd have done:
- Created a program that detects does basic pitch detection in voice and maps it
- Created a program that changes the pitch in someone's voice, hopefully also speech rate and smoothly changes the amplitude
- Qualified for graduation. I don't care how well I do, just as long as I finish by Dec 2010
- Finished at least the GUI component for my present game project
- Get engaged, or at least bought an engagement ring
- Turn down at least one job offer
For every objective I fail to accomplish by December 25, 2010, the next person to post gets +25 DC points from me.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
I am almost completely convinced you will forget about this post... Seeing how the point of this post is for one reason that I assume you will forget... that makes it a useless post....
IF YOU FORGET I think you should be in some way punished!
Don't forget Ricky, or we'll find you... We find everyone, and we don't forget.
thinking is like pong, it's easy, but you miss sometimes.
