The answer to these questions may also help other people.

1. How do you do a looping frame type area like in Legend of Zelda when you go to the Lost Woods? I want to do this but instead of top down I want it to work with the platformer genre.

2.How do you do that transparent circle thing that you see in New Super Mario Bros Wii? It makes it so you can see through other actives in a circle radius. How do they do that??! Is it possible with MMF2?

3. How can I do a glowy effect on actives? I've seen this done on fireflies and stuff like that in other indie games.

4. Whats the best way for a beginner to do dialogue in a game?

Sorry for all the question I hope the answers can also help out other people.

For 1, look at the source code for Knytt from Nifflas's website. (Not Knytt Stories, but the original) Or try NIck's Zelda Widget on the Clickteam forums. I've never played the original Zelda so I'm not sure what you're really talking about.
For number 2, use overlay redux object. Paste in a transparent circle around your character. Again, I'm not sure what you're talking about.
3: Photoshop. Or if you want something for free: GIMP. Or try the HWA 2D Bloom function.
4: Read the dialogue tutorial on clickteam. It should start you off to a good start.

Hope those answers are somewhat satisfactory.

DMT is right for number 2. The Overlay Redux and Active Overlay extensions are the way forward. With a bit of experimenting you should be able to get exactly the effect you want, although probably not the slight gradient at the edge of visible area...

For the gradient check out the HWA shaders, there is one that cuts holes in active objects, and even backdrop objects if I'm not mistaken.
