Yes. Quite excited about this one actually, although I can't help but feel apprehensive about whether or not there'll be many limitations (extensions, etc)
Yes, and apparently, MochiAds and the like are compatible. Though I confess I've never looked into how MochiAds works... it may just let you stick any flash file in.
The number of supported extensions (from the start) is a big question mark indeed. As we know, it can make a huge difference. So as Va1entine's question here was "will I be able to import my massive game into Flash" - well it depends probably on the extensions in use.
But all in all, based on the few examples released, the flash runtime looks absolutely great. Can't wait to start making some Facebook games and stuff..
Not just on the extensions, though. We've seen that slightly higher resolutions are acceptable, but we don't know how high item count or what graphical effects you can have or whatever before it starts to lag.
That's also true. Even though the performance has been looking very good in the few examples released, like Zeb which has scrolling, it remains to be seen how it can handle frames like 3000 x 3000 pixels and huge amount of active objects with scrolling. Maybe flash can even utilize HWA at some later stage..

Jesus, James. Whine much? Where is it confirmed it won't be in beta? Perhaps not a public one, but Im sure they will do a private beta amongst themselves.
No but you just seem to jump at any opportunity to be negative about Clickteam without giving them a chance or listening what has to be said. Just because there won't be a public beta you jump to ridiculous conclusions that there will be no beta testing what so ever.
Of course there was/is beta testing. To make it clearer I simply stated that I would be cautious about jumping in straight away since their previous updates did not work with many extensions. However since it won't have a public beta and be a full release soon then I guess we should expect full extension support, going off the comment I linked to.
Just because it's not a public beta does mean all extensions will be supported. All the examples which have been shown so far show that it's capabale of making a good variety of games.

Also will this require MMF2 Dev?
I believe that long ago in another thread on the Clickteam forums it was stated that because the flash license is a separate product (you make another purchase for it, like the Blu-Ray license) it would be compatible with both MMF2 and MMF2 Dev. Not sure on that even, and I have no clue if it'll be compatible with TGF2.
Also, I notice that some applets had the generic grey loading bar while others had the Made with Multimedia Fusion 2 loading circle. Will that be a choice, license-dependent, or what?
Since it's a license, I'm curious about the price tag. I'd love to make apps for Flash and I am so happy for Clickteam to have done this. This is not a negative towards them or the flash runtime, what so ever, but a concern of mine would be the price. As a hobbyist, I don't want to be spending another hundred on a runtime. My hopes is that theres a lower level which limits what you can do with it like Standard in terms of commercial product. Regardless though, I will not be disappointed if theres not. This is a huge step for Clickteam. My congratulations.
