The finale of that game is the only time I've felt genuine panic setting in while playing a video game. I wish moments in games would come around more often, but then I realise that only absolute masters of their craft can create a scenario like that.
I feel Halos just another shooter with a lot of weapons and a man in shining armor. HL has more interesting and unique elements too it. I put my points on HL

I definetly vote for Halo, even tho they fucked up with Halo3 (For it being a cash-cow, filled with unneaded extra weapons and features like that bubble-shield thing). I still have my old xbox, me and my brothers still love to play Halo 2 from time to time. Oh and if you think Halo doesn't have a good story (for a FPS anyway), you can go f*ck yourself
Halo has the most awesome weapons and life system. It takes tactics because alien weapons do more damage to your shield while human weapons do more damage once your shield is gone. Oh and if mister G-man wants to fight Master Chief with a crowbar, I guess he will draw his energy sword
This doesn't mean Halo is perfect. As stated before, the flood (zombies) was a mistake, because they already had plenty awesome enemies. I also like the fact that the enemies get devided in two and start fighting each other.
gman? what are you smoking? if master cheif went against the gman he would be trapped in an interdemensional purgatory, or sent to another dimension. have you even PLAYED hl2? gordan freeman != the gman.

I have nothing to contribute except for: Half Life=amazing and this guys post made me feel like a lost a couple brain cells while reading it.
Half life 2 and its ep's are my favourite game of all time. The game is just fun and amazing and the graphics still look kick arse 4 years after its release.
Valve always produce great games, I just want EP3 to hurry up
