All right, so in the high school i'm going to, there are four foreign language courses: Spanish, French, Japanese, and another one. I have to take one for three years. I am inclined towards French or Japanese and my mother wants me to take Spanish. I would like your helpful or unhelpful opinions.

Our school district offers Spanish, French, German, and Japanese in one school (unfortunately not my school.) I chose Spanish because I dislike the way French words are pronounced and for German, they didn't offer that in middle school so I didn't experience it early enough to influence my decision. I'd choose Japanese if I were you. I plan on studying both Japanese and Spanish in college.

Without a doubt, Japanese would be the best to learn. They're obviously good at making action/arcade games. So you would get to enjoy more Japanese games knowing the language.

Depends where you want to go, obviously 
French is virtually useless outside of France & Quebec. Personally, I spent 7 months living in France and have no desire whatsoever to go back (and having spent a couple years in Canada, I also much prefer BC to Quebec).
I also learned German, just because it was the only other language offered at my school. I haven't used it once, and have probably forgotten virtually all of it by now.
I would have loved to learn Spanish, because it would have opened up the whole of South/Central America (I think Spanish & Portuguese are similar). Again, I have no interest in going to Spain itself, but maybe a ski season in Chile, or conservation stuff in Costa Rica...
I'd also like to learn Japanese, mostly because I want to do a ski-season in Japan. Apparently, when you're very young it's one of the easiest languages to learn, but I'm not sure if that's still true later in life. Being able to play Japanese games would be a pretty lame reason though...

I might be inclined to say that Spanish would be the most useful, if you're in the US. It also seems to be less of a jump in pronunciation than French and German. I've had friends who've taught me phrases in both, and they seem to have more subtleties in pronunciation to learn than Spanish does.
Although, if I had the option of taking Japanese, I would have done it. Heck, I'd love to take all four!

It depends I think on what you want out of it.
German would be the easiest language to pick up out of those (despite the three genders) because of the shared roots with that and English, meaning words generally are easier to pronounce and to 'hear' when listening to the language - but German is only really useful if you want to visit or work in Central Europe (it's spoken in Germany, Austria, Switzerland etc and in varying degrees in Poland, Czech Republic and other neighbours). Personally I found German quite easy, and once you've learnt it, Dutch is also a doddle.
Spanish pronunciation is pretty straightforward, and it's most useful of the two romance languages, but a lot of English people have real difficulties listening to native Spanish speakers, as they speak so fast - meaning a big jump between classroom-level Spanish and real-life Spanish. However, it is the most widely spoken of the four options (also, similar to German, Spanish could act as a good starting point to learn Italian (and possibly Portuguese) if you're really into your languages).
French is pretty useless really, taught only as an anachronism from when France used to be important. However, girls will love you speaking it.
Japanese is also fairly useless unless you really want to go to Japan. It's also by far and away the hardest language to learn of the four as it shares nothing with English. It also doesn't really help with learning any other languages.
To sum up:
If you want a good mark - German
If you want the most useful language - Spanish
If you want to get laid - French
If you like hentai - Japanese

I'd like to take all four, but I've decided on Spanish to minimize my mother yelling. I still don't remember the last one but it isn't German, because it got cut, a student told me.
