... A Falling Sand example for MMF? Sand falling through the cracks or down an hourglass sort of thing.
I remember one, but I don't seem to have it ... I really need to take a look at it.

Or if noone knows where I can get it, would someone be willing to make a nice falling sand example (preferably without extensions)?

I think it's going to be a really sluggish thing with the way MMF handles 'particles'. If there's an example for it, it only works as an example, and it's going to be hard to get anything moving around it with all the objects. Unless you have some particles extension.

It's not meant to be for particle effects. I want to make an Ink Pen.
The actives will be destroyed and pasted into the background when the "ink" reaches the tip or after a short time, so it won't be slow.
The pen tip would get opened to let the ink flow when the left mouse key is held in.

The problem is how to make the ink flow. How can that be done?
The Falling Sand example fits ... but I cannot find it, does anyone have it?

You could just make a single pixel, and stretch it out to fill up the ink "space." Then just shrink it as it "flows"

That's just visual though, I'm talking functional.
I want it to actually flow "ink" from the pen.

Using Add Backdrop counts toward the object limit and using paste as backdrop causes them to be deleted if you scroll away from them doesn't it? Eventually it would either be slow, you'd reach the limit, or you would lose the effect, I would think...

Also, is this for your Window-Licker's Paintbrush? Why would you put so much effort into a part that doesn't actually affect the picture? Unless I'm missing something...

I'm using paste into background, and yes it does delete the lines as much as you scroll, (IF you Scroll) but why would you ever need to scroll in a pixel editor? The magnifier being zoomed in does not mean that it scrolls. It's still just as big as the canvas, which is never bigger than the screen. The line will never vanish. There is no limit. I'm using an outside script for the magnifier in case you are wondering.

You make a good point about the pen Jon, plus my logic was flawed. I'm still curious as to how it'd work though.
I'm testing lots of ideas for the Window-Licker's Paintbrush, and you're right that I've spent too much time on this one.
Moving on to the next now.

I still wanna see that falling sand example again sometime though Or a new one if someone cares to make it.
