Anyway, I like that animated fox too!

My sprites ... well the style differs from game too game.

I believe I started out with a huge amount of pillow shading (without any black lines) and reduced that in the years after. And at the moment I am using a black outline in my sprites, it gives a kind of retro feeling.

The shading on the characters makes them look flat like paper. They need more contrast, maybe some subtle hue-shifting, and you could also try no black outlines.


i see what you mean. ill try adding in a bit more shading to the land masses and the characters and see how it turns out.
