I was trying to record a video of my game, but FRAPS only record if the game is on full screen mode, but setting my game to full screen doesnt work. I believe thats because MMF2 makes a different full screen, it reduces the size of my screen, instead of making the game bigger, creating a pseudo-full screen
Any way to solve this, or any suggestions of other recording software? Btw i tryed Camtasia Studio, but it laggs, because it compresses the video as it is recorded

Btw, setting it to directX does what to my game?
Fraps can only record DirectX. It's designed specifically for games by allowing itself to interface with strictly the graphics card and pick up frames fresh off the video card printing press if you will. That's why performance is so excellent and quality is always top notch because it's never compressed, but that also results in GB's of data for mere minutes of footage.
Excellent program and by far the best I've ever used and defiantly worth the $37. It's been years and I've yet to regret the purchase.
PS: As an additional note, Windows Vista and Windows 7, when using the Aero theme, are actually rendered through the video card using DirectX, which means that FRAPS will actually record the entire desktop for you if you want.
Setting your game to DirectX can mean better performance for games with more effects and objects, as long as the computer it's running on is capable enough.
As long as you don't notice anything weird going on, you can leave it on DirectX or go back to the standard mode.
