I have a question. What is it that determines whether or not a game get it's own news on the front page? The people that make the games? The rating it gets? How frequent it's updated? I would love for this to be answered...

If an admin thinks it's worthy, it gets put on. It's really all up to them.

For projects: If it looks cool, then it's front page material.

For downloads: If it's fun, then it's front page material.

At least, that's how I think it works.

If you really feel like you're not being paid the attention you deserve for your giant project or game, make a little fuss about it to see what people think.

I mean being quiet and waiting is polite and all, but sometimes people will forget you because of that.

A good way to get yourself noticed is to put effort in.

- Ensure the submission has a very decent description. It should be well written and fairly lengthy, say, about 2-3 paragraphs of text each, and not just a couple of lines!

- Working screenshots and URL is always a must.

As an example, G.Hull, I've used your project Mothership Defender as an example of how not to get your game mentioned. There's no decent description or storyline and no screenshots. Don't take offence at it, but generally the more effort you put in, the more you get noticed
