Hi! Another interesting problem. I want to test if at least one of my objects meets a condition, for example "Alt Value A = 2" but, i want that code to be able to activate when at least one of them meets it... THEN deactivate when none of them meet it.
At the moment, the easy coding way of doing it:
If AA of Object = 2 THEN Do Stuff
If AA of Object != 2 THEN Don't Do Stuff
This doesn't work, because there is always going to be objects that don't meet the command. Also, I can't localise it down to a specific object, because the action that needs to be performed is fading through to a different song on that command, then fading back when it is no longer true.
HELP?!

Always set Global Value A to 0
If AA of Object = 2 then Global Value A = 1
If Global Value A = 1 then Do Stuff.
If you put the events in that order, then Global Value A will hold "1" if one or more objects meet the condition, and "0" if no objects meet the condition. If you need to know the specific object which triggered the Global Value A to = 1, then instead of setting it to 1, set it to the fixed ID of the object.
The event triggers once every time only one of the objects meets the condition (flag 0 is on/object is red)

GamesterXIII - Hi Your example does work as you mentioned. However I've modified it with the code that I just described. Mine is a bit more easy to read I think.

Hitler, his staff and population control techniques are what killed all those people during WWII, not the symbol or his mustache. The symbol itself had a different meaning before hand, and is only a tool of identifying ones self during that time period. That would be the equivalent of saying John Wayne Gacy identifies himself by shaking hands, therefore, shaking hands makes you a child molester and serial killer. It's the kind of behavior that leads to people going "he's wearing a turban, therefore he is a terrorist." If you want to choose to be ignorant and associate the wrong thing with something, then that should be your own problem. If Gamester had a picture up of "Mein Kampf" and his title said "this is my bible" then it might be a little offensive, even then it's only an issue when he starts trying to kill of everyone different than him, in that case he only needs the Christian bible to justify that mistake.

The swastika (or sun-cross, manji, wàn or whatever you want to call it) is indeed an ancient symbol of good stuff. The most common variant in europe has always been the clockwise one, in asia it's the counter-clockwise one (actually used to point out buddhist temples on maps!). Though they all have one thing in common;
THEY AREN'T CLOCWISE+TILTED+INSIDE-A-WHITE-CIRCLE-ON-RED-BACKGROUND.
That is the official symbol of Adolf Hitler's nazi party you've got there.

Russians had even worse concentration camps, and they were antisemitic long before germans. Not to mention american concentration camps and well nuking a town. For example, I could go around calling random people "Arsenal fans". The fact that to some of those people "Arsenal fan" has positive connotations, is irrelevant. If I'm calling someone an Arsenal fan, it's because I want to offend them - because I know that to me and most people, being an Arsenal fan is a very negative thing.
I have to assume your intention with that avatar is to cause offense (or at least controversy), because I cannot see any other reason why you might choose it.

Many, MANY, people find the swastika very, VERY, offensive. I see your point, but you really are concocting dubious ways of allowing the use of Hitler's personal swastika style in the TDC forums. And I take an educated guess at that is not what you intended.

I think this is just centered on gamester cause he is trying to prove a point from an earlier post when he said this site is run by nazis and got a warning. Obviusly hes not very good at proving points. So it doesnt really bother me. I do find it funny a bit. I find it to be more and more common for people(especially on the interwebz) to stop caring about ethics and being polite. I would be truly ashamed if I had written that, cause I just can't side with the person that deliberately tries to cause negative feelings in others.
I personally wish GamesterXIII would either 1) start being a nice person towards others (in all forum aspects, not just coding issues), or 2) just leave this site since all he is doing is being disruptive and complaining about being here.

I think you got this a bit wrong, i do care what people say or do when it comes to things like this, and i consider myself to be quite polite if needed, which is maybe not so often. But anyway i dont see why you are so pissed off at this? I was mainly stating that gamester probably didnt intend to actively harm anyone here, and i give some information about ww2. I can clearly see that you are offended by hitler and nazis, with which i agreed it s probably offensive to a lot of people. And then you are mentioning ethics and politeness, but you have insulted me, horrendus and gamester with your post. And that's not cool.
I have to say, it was kind of out of line to just up and call me an idiot like that. As far as my point goes, it makes no sense on getting offended by silly things. I did not miss the facts, I just did not elaborate on them. They did change the symbol, but before it came to symbolize what people believe it to symbolize, it still held the same meaning. It's kind of like slang. Though a new word will arise, it holds the same meaning of another word, especially when that particular slang is a simple distortion of the previous word i.e. "cool" and "coo". To most people, yeah the swastika does symbolize Hitler's ideals, but it's obvious that he isn't using it to promote Hitler's ideals. If he were, like I said that would be a different case.
But all of that aside, it doesn't matter, because the Swastika didn't kill anyone, it's merely an symbol and could mean anything. If I were to post an American flag on my avatar, would you immediately assume that I'm a fat pro-war Christian republican bigot, like a good amount of people parading around with the American flag are? Maybe I'm a just as crazy liberal. Maybe I just think it looks rad. You can't assume just because someone has something with a swastika on it that they are a Nazi. I think George Carlin said it best when he threw in "I'll leave symbols to the symbol minded."

Obviously you aren't that familiar with deeper studies in symbols, ideology, religion, culture, history or ethics.
I do not assume that "just because someone has something with a swastika on it that they are a Nazi".

I feel sorry for anyone who takes gamesterxii seriously.
He wanted the attention, he got the attention. People who give him his two minutes of fame are as guilty as the troll himself.
btw I think it's about time he gets a ban, or at least gets silenced for a while.
And I'm not even talking about the nazi symbols, but his provocative behavior spawned quite a few needless discussions in the last weeks.
In this setting, the swastika serves no purpose but to stir up these age-old arguments. If you choose to have this be your avatar, you will be asked to remove it unless you'd like to receive a warning. It's there to cause trouble and simply does not need to be present.
