Hey all,

So recently I bought a netbook after my laptop's graphics card imploded. As with most netbooks, it doesn't come with an optical drive, which means installing my copy of MMF2 is going to be a problem. Can I legitimately get the ISO off the install disc and mount in to a USB stick, or suchlike? I'm not talking technically here, since I know it can be done, but is it legal from Clickteam's point of view?

You aren't giving it to anyone, so I don't think it would be a problem.

If you want to be absolutely positive, you can always just ask Jeff on the Clickteam forums, but I wouldn't worry about it. You paid for it, so use whatever means you have to to get it on your computer.

If you're really concerned about being legal, keep in mind that the license permits you to install MMF2 on a single computer. If you want to install it on another computer, you'll need to uninstall it on the first one.

But yeah, it should be completely legal to install it off of a CD image that you made as long as you're not distributing it to anyone else.

I believe the licesnsing states that the software can be installed in multiple places but only ONE copy can be running at any time. But check on this

Yeah, it is either one machine that multiple people use or many machines that only one person uses, if I remember correctly.

Just invest in an external cd drive, i did recently (last night) and chances are it will be useful if you are using a netbook.

If you put a million monkeys at a million keyboards, one of them will eventually write a Java program.
The rest of them will write Perl programs.
