Your examples are good, but unless things have changed and most clickers have grown up and got jobs TDC is really not the place to be asking a few hundred pounds for music. Most of us are poor students / too miserable to pay for professional music. You would be surprised how many people on here make their own music .
I am hoping it's just a translation thing, but you could be a lot more encouraging to TDC's members Phil. As Hayo says, what you have writ could be taken as very arsey...
Wow sorry, i mean "chip music" (for me it sounds like chip music anyway, and there is nothing pejorative). In french it sounds exactely the same, sorry (same problem with "bye", "buy" or "by" etc....)
This is exactely the kind of music that fits very well with this kind of game, and i've nothing better to propose you in this case, i do not compose for this kind of games ;o) my "chip music" culture is near zero...
By the way, did you try advertising at Flashgamelicense.com? Many people there are looking for music for their games and some of them actually have budget.
Believe it or not, but the price for this is actually pretty reasonable. I've seen prices a LOT higher from other composers
I can imagine that working as a composer is very tough business, because as you can see even in this thread people come and say "I'm doing it for free!". Tough times, my friends... tough times.
But I don't want to ruin the mood here, so here's something classy
Yes you're right, tough times ;o) even if music for free is ok if it's for non commercials projets in my opinion ;o)
But... 3 packages sold since yersterday ! not so tough after all ;o)
See you,
Phil
