This Topic Has Been Locked : The Daily Click Story
See the tears, the triumphs, the avatars and the cursing as we detail the ups and downs of this infamous website
Awe inspiring, a truely remarkable example of the writers knowledge! - Some Tool
Chapter One - The Evolution
The Daily Click. A beacon to all those new to the incredible art of klikking. A haven to creative genius' whos attempts to convert their brilliant ideas to an actual game, have failed miserably. The once mighty forums corrupted with digital grafitti. Poorly endowned teenagers attempt to compensate for what they lack physically with masses of pointless posts. The great administrators use their mighty powers for good. Fighting back the corruptive influence of power, they remove these pointless exhibitions until the mouse pads upon which their equipment dwells is nothing more than a moist towelette.
But it will not stop. The vile digital cads continue to pollute the cyber reality with their drivvel. They wish to make their point. The administrators want the posts to end. And so a dark compromise is made. The ability to further add to the topic is stripped, yet the post is still able to be accessed. This compromise resulted in the dreaded....
Lock Topic Option *dramatic music plays*.
And thus historys darkest day dawned...
Chapter Two - Enthausiasm
How do I make posts here? Locked.
Please review my game. Locked.
Is Jesus real? Locked.
The Daily Click is the greatest thing ever! *shucks*....Locked.
No post was spared from the wrath of this mighty weapon of titanic preportions. If it was unlocked, they locked it. All in good fun? Maybe. But fun leads to competition. And competition to a need to succeed. And thus a gradual corruption of the great administrators began to take place. None were exempt from the seductive call of the 'Lock Topic' option. But none knew it's charm more than one.
The One. One who could not resist it's call. Like Hugh Grant couldn't resist the sirens, this One could not resist the lockables. He was a shadowy one. This one moved as a shadow. And he was a castor. This one liked castor sugar. He will remain nameless as to protect his identity.
His tyrannical reign was unmatched and unprecedented. All who met with him were met with hostility and demands for hentai pictures.
One day our hero, Ashman, come forth from the shadows of Total Klik. Shunned from this dark place by yet another doctored picture of himself and that Home Alone child, he returned to the great Daily Click to find the place a mere shadow of it's former self. It's once proud members nothing more than reluctant fiends scared to even show themselves. Ashman knew not why. Until he entered the forum to find it riddled with the term 'This Topic has been locked!'
"Aggghhhhh!" He screamed dramatically, for it was everywhere. This was locked and that was locked. It was like being in a padlock store.
He ran. Ran for his life. He ran madly around the study attempting to make sense of the senseless. He concluded that the only way to make sense of the senseless was to act upon the senselessness with something as equally senseless. Senseless violence...
And thus a great revolution was about to take place...
To be continued.......
Show me the power child,
I'd like to say,
That I'm down on my knees today,
Gives me the butterflies,
Gives me away,
'Til I'm up on my feet again,
I'm feeling outshined.
Show me the power child,

Gives me the butterflies,

I think I once heard somting about older threads being deleted to keep database size down. But that might have been a different forum, I carnt quite remember.
Nah Zane, I think I remember the same. Some time ago there was a "we will delete anything before date X" post. And someone complainted about old posts being deleted.
