Hi guys

My game Block Master is going to be freeware so if a composer offers a Creative Commons Licenses does this mean I don't necessarily have to seek direct permission providing I credit the artist involved? And also does this mean the music is completely free of charge?

I'd really appreciate a serious reply on this matter.

"Use this, distribute it and learn from it - but don't distribute a modified version or sell it" is my understanding of CC. It'd be nice if you let the musician know that you've included his/her music in your game.

From my understanding (as your game is freeware) I think Nim is correct, but as Nim says I would email the guy to ask permission purely out of respect and having something in writing just in case .
