There were talks about making a streamlined version of this site when the news of the site's possible closure came up, but before that they were working on a brand new site that would have all the functionality of the current site just made in php.
I love that this forum doesn't auto lock topics after a certain time since the last post. It allows us to fulfill our favorite pastime of resurrecting old threads.
I have half a mind to remake this entire site (with the exception of "Arcade") in Python/MongoDB with a ES6 frontend. Shame about having a job, takes up a significant portion of my personal development time.
Maybe I'll scrape this entire site and get a nice DB going on mlab or something and play around with it. Absolutely zero promises to anyone, but gah this site hurts me deep at my child-like core.
