I just thought I'd make a quick post on the progress of my game (albeit slow because of work and such), and how far it's coming along. I'd love to hear what everyone thinks so far.
Warning: These images are large (1920x1080) so don't click them if you don't want the forum distorted.
As the game comes together in a number of different ways, the visuals are something I've been constantly working on. Constantly listening to and responding to feedback and trying to insure the game looks it's best while being visually intuitive.
As the game's core code is being finalized and the it enters it's true official "alpha" stage, the interface including the main menu, are starting to get the attention they deserve. Unlike in previous games where progression was linear and if you failed to complete a part, you were required to start from the beginning, now you have the option to pick one of five levels and complete at least four before unlocking the next level.
As with Diamond: Revolution 2, the level editor is still a very important part of the game. Not only for my own use (to help streamline the process of putting together levels quickly) but to hopefully expand on the game's lastability once it's released.
Bare in mind that as I've said in the past, everything is still heavily work in progress and subject to change. With that said, I hope that people who made suggestions in the past, see the fruits of their suggestions in this update in progress.
And if I've said it once, I must have said it a thousand times now. Of all the previous iterations of the game in the past, I feel like they've all ultimately lead up to this one. I've poured too much into this game to watch it fail to a misstep or unseen issue. So please, any and all suggestions are encouraged - just keep them constructive.
Nice - very professional and shiny
I get the impression a static screenshot probably isn't doing it justice either, and it would look better in action. They certainly don't give any clues as to how the gameplay works.
As soon as you would like. The game is currently in it's 'feature complete' state, so anyone interested in testing is more than welcome to help test while I continue building everything around that.
